Budget for the equipment and the way you plan to use it. Core recording, mobile connectivity and optional services are different items.

What needs a recurring payment?

Core recording and viewing	No subscription is required for Ballr's core recording and viewing.
Cloud service	Free cloud service with no cloud-traffic or storage-space charge; retention renewal is required to keep recordings beyond each retention period.
Mobile data	Charges from your mobile operator are separate. The SIM and data plan are not included.
Tripod and delivery	A tripod is not included with the camera alone. Check the selected set and destination-specific delivery charges.
Optional services	Ballr Live's official watch page is a separate, optional pay-per-match service. Check the service screen for current availability and charges before use.

How free cloud retention works

New recordings have a 30-day retention period. During the final 7 days, a club or team administrator can extend a recording by another 30 days in Ballr Hub, repeatedly and free of charge. Renew before expiry. This requires action; it is not automatic permanent retention. Download important recordings for your own archive.

Wi-Fi and 4G: account for the connection

The Standard model uses external Wi-Fi for livestreaming, which may come from a mobile router. The 4G model connects using its built-in 4G with an activated Nano-SIM and active data plan. Both models retain the same core recording and local storage capabilities.

A practical three-year comparison

Total cost = camera + required mounting equipment + delivery and applicable charges + required plans over three years + connectivity + optional services you actually use.

Use current prices for your country and the actual plan you would choose. Do not compare one manufacturer's hardware-only price with another manufacturer's camera-and-subscription bundle.
