Why we built Ballr
No match camera was made for everyday teams.
When we started Ballr, we could not find a match camera that truly worked for ordinary teams. We wanted one that could follow play on its own, record the whole match without a camera operator and still capture every detail on the pitch.
So we built it ourselves. After two and a half years of development and testing, the first Ballr match camera was ready: dual wide-angle lenses cover the whole pitch, and AI recognises and follows the action while the full match records with no one behind the camera.
We have kept going ever since. The camera, the app and Hub are updated every week to make footage clearer, tracking steadier and replays easier to share.
Faced with this gap in the market, we decided to develop our own solution, and we have never stopped exploring since.
