One-tap YouTube live streaming: connect your channel once, go live every match

Streaming a match to YouTube used to mean copying a server address and stream key into the app before every game. With Ballr App 2.2.181 or later, you connect your YouTube channel once and then go live from the saved channel in a few taps.

What's new

  • Connect a YouTube channel to your club or team once, and every device in that club or team can use it.
  • No server address or stream key to copy for each match.
  • Ballr creates and closes the YouTube livestream for you. When you stop the stream in the app, the YouTube session ends too.
  • After the match, open the replay on YouTube straight from the app.
  • Streaming to YouTube does not use Ballr Live credits.

Connect your channel (first time only)

  1. The club administrator (or the team administrator for an independent team) opens Live match in the Ballr App and, under Choose live destination, selects Custom RTMP → YouTube.
  2. Tap Connect YouTube, choose the Google account, approve the YouTube access request and return to Ballr.
  3. The Google account must already have a YouTube channel. If you see “YouTube channel not created”, create the channel on YouTube and connect again.

Go live at every match

  1. Enter the match information and field size.
  2. Choose Custom RTMP → YouTube → Connected account, select your channel and tap Next.
  3. Complete the preflight check: run the network test over the camera's Wi-Fi or 4G and confirm the field corners.
  4. Start the stream. YouTube usually needs 1–2 minutes to get the stream ready. Keep the camera connected, then tap Watch live to check the picture.

Good to know

  • Score management and the Ballr viewer room are only available with Ballr Live. Streaming to YouTube sends the camera video to your channel.
  • If the app says authorization has expired, an administrator taps Reconnect.
  • Manual RTMP with a server address and stream key is still available for YouTube and other platforms.
